Helford around the world
The Helford Voluntary Marine Conservation Area has had it’s own website for some time now. The site is hosted free of charge by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and it has its own domain name. The site, which contains general information about the group, wildlife, and conservation efforts in the area, is written and edited by Dr Pamela Tompsett. It also gives details of organised events, both past and present. Last year Ruth Williams put together a selection of quizzes and games to create a new ‘Kids page’. This has given a new dimension to the site. The group’s newsletter, which is produced twice a year and is also edited by Pamela, is designed and produced by Sheila McCann of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Since Issue 26 (Spring 2003) selected articles have been published to the web site and the newsletter in its entirety has been made available to download. This makes it accessible to people all over the world.
If you have any comments about the site or any articles that may be suitable to publish please contact Pamela. Help us spread the conservation message for the marine environment and for Cornwall. Jayne Herbert (Web Manager)
