          Two -  the tide goes in and out once every 12 hours

          Not really a trick question!  Starfish, jellyfish, and cuttlefish all have fish in their    names but aren’t actually fish!

  • What does a basking shark eat? 

          Plankton – they sieve it out of the water using filters called gill-rakers instead of teeth.

  • How does an anemone feed? 

The anemone uses stinging cells in its tentacles to paralyse its prey and pull the food into its mouth in the middle of the tentacles.

  • What signs can you look for on the sand or mud to tell you something is living below?

    Tracks, worm casts or holes are all signs to look for that tell you something is hiding beneath the mud.
